Retreat Into Peace
4.12 or 4.13 | 10:00am-2:00PM
A gentle, creative retreat for women in pursuit of peace.
In a time of political and cultural disorder, are you sensing distress in your body and spirit? Where do we find peace for our souls in the midst of this hostile and divided time?
My lovely soul friend Carol Collier and I are joining contemplative forces to create a retreat for women pursing peace in the midst of chaos and disorder. We will gather to name and notice our own unrest, reclaim our intentions to pursue a Peace that’s accessible and trustworthy, and plant seeds of hope in the soil of our daily lives.
Jesus said, “Come away with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest."
With Jesus' words in mind we invite you to come away on Friday, April 12th OR Saturday, April 13th for a time of quiet reflection, heartwarming conversations, and a creative practice that will stir our hearts into rest and peace. Retreat will be hosted in my quiet backyard art studio and garden.
If we listen closely, most women are confessing, “I’m exhausted.”
These retreats offer a chance to breathe, rest, and explore what it would look like to serve/live out of fullness instead of depletion. Each retreat offers a gentle rhythm of gathering together, silence and solitude, teaching, sharing time, beauty and art, and most of all rest. The open-handed schedule cultivates deeper listening as we walk through restful practices together.
Listening House retreats are designed to help attendees cultivate:
Enjoyment of God and life-giving spiritual practices
Opportunity to rest, slow down, and reconnect with longing
Engaging with creativity as a way to connect with God

“The indispensable condition for developing and maintaining the awareness of our belovedness is time alone with God. In solitude we turn out the naysaying whispers of our worthlessness and sink down into the mystery of our true self.” — Brennan Manning, Abba’s Child
